About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic cross-functional projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met
  • Lead PMO initiatives to standardize project delivery tools, templates, and governance
  • Apply structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Provide coaching and team leadership to project managers
  • Deliver assigned projects within scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments
  • Travel up to 30% to SP facilities, vendors, and customer sites, including occasional international travel
  • Track and report project performance, including schedule, cost, risks, issues, and quality
  • Provide stage gate governance
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project stakeholders, customers, and end users
  • Drive communication, timely decisions, and issue escalation and resolution
  • Partner across sales, portfolio management, estimating, engineering, service, manufacturing, and leadership
  • Implement standard work and execute corrective and preventive actions identified through root-cause analysis
  • Manage production projects for engineering, fabrication, assembly, and testing of food, drug, and chemical batch process capital equipment and subsystems
  • Support R&D, strategic, IT, and CAPEX projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college or university, or five to ten years of related training and experience in a technical, engineering, or science-oriented field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five years of project management experience
  • Experience with manufacturing and fabrication of engineered equipment
  • Experience with high-profile R&D, strategic, IT, and/or CAPEX projects
  • Experience with field installation and commissioning of equipment on-site
  • Experience working directly with end users and contractors in a commercial capacity
  • Experience presenting and interacting with executive management regularly
  • Experience with continuous improvement and change management of business processes
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional international travel
