About the role
- Develop and implement a global procurement strategy aligned with company growth and operational objectives
- Build, mentor and lead a globally distributed procurement team
- Establish a standardized procurement framework across all regions (North America, Europe, APAC, etc.)
- Establish procurement governance, policies and compliance standards across the global organization
- Provide hands-on support for tactical sourcing, supplier negotiations and troubleshooting as needed
- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement for automation integration projects
- Implement lean procurement processes and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, lead times and variability
- Introduce digital procurement tools (eProcurement, spend analytics, supplier portals, etc.) to increase efficiency and transparency
- Identify savings opportunities through value engineering, supplier consolidation and cost analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in automation integration, robotics, engineering services or related industries
- Proven track record implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, etc.)
- Experience negotiating complex technical categories and managing multi-million‑dollar global spend
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data-driven decision making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience engaging at senior leadership level
- Hands-on mentality – ability to seamlessly switch between strategy and execution
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) and digital procurement tools
- Professional certifications (CIPS, CPM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma)
