About the role
- Deploy, configure, and sustain mission-critical systems in the field.
- Integrate novel technologies (e.g., geospatial platforms, secure communications, mobile systems) into operational environments.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time support during deployments.
- Conduct pre-deployment readiness checks, system validation, and acceptance testing.
- Support and enforce secure endpoint and mobile device policies in austere environments.
- Collaborate with host nation partners, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure successful mission integration.
- Document engineering processes, configurations, and lessons learned for knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and subsequently a brand Ambassador for Atreides 1st Party Applications, Advanced Data Solutions, Analysts, and OpTech services in the field.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in field engineering, systems integration, or technology deployments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Familiarity with secure communications, VPNs, and endpoint management solutions
- Experience with containerized platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern deployment toolchains
- Proficiency with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go preferred)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience supporting defence, intelligence, or government programs preferred.
