About the role

  • Provide expert legal counsel and strategic leadership on matters related to data protection, AI, and intellectual property (IP).
  • Report to the Group Data Protection Officer and Group Head of IP, AI & Tech regulations.
  • Oversee development and implementation of legal and compliance frameworks.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements related to data processing and AI solutions.
  • Help with implementation of Group-wide strategies for AI governance, data protection, and IP management.
  • Monitor evolving legal and regulatory requirements, providing proactive guidance.
  • Oversee implementation of data protection and policies across global operations.
  • Review and advise on Data Protection Impact Assessments.

Requirements

  • Legal degree; admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional legal experience in data protection, AI, and IP, preferably in an international technology company or law firm.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data protection law (including GDPR), AI regulatory frameworks, and intellectual property law.
  • Experience advising on complex, cross-border legal matters and working as part of an international legal team.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; fluency in English required.
  • Business fluency in French, Spanish, German, or Portuguese is an advantage.
  • Certification in data protection (e.g., DPO, CIPP/E) and AI ethics is desirable.
