About the role
- Manage the Quantum Error Correction Theory team while growing and directing the entire team
- Architect and develop strategy of error correction on neutral atom quantum computers
- Day-to-day responsibilities range from project management, fault-tolerance development, budgeting decisions as well as technical mentoring
Requirements
- PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Industry experience in Quantum Error Correction Theory
- Minimum of 2 years in a management role
- 2+ years managing a team of Quantum Error Correction Theorists, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Temperamentally suited to work at a fast-growing, early-stage startup: self-motivated, humble, driven, collaborative, and has a high tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse team of experimental physicists, hardware, and software engineers
- Familiarity with Python and Git software version control
- Experience with quantum compilation
- Experience with classical optimization including convex optimization and mixed-integer programming
- Strong collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a changing work environment
- Ability and passion for hiring the best Quantum Error Correction Theorist from academia and industry
