Engineering Manager

• Lead and mentor of 8 to 10 software engineers to perform at their best.
• Collaborate with Control Systems, Quantum Engineering, and Quantum Applications Engineering, to set the software architecture and roadmap.
• Provide timely, value-added code reviews in Gitlab and feedback on architecture documents.
• Oversee integrations with quantum software frameworks and toolchains such as CUDA-Q, Qiskit, Cirq, and related ecosystem tools.
• Collaborate on performance optimization across classical and quantum workloads, including GPU and HPC acceleration strategies.
• Assist in the definition, implementation, and rollout of new software features.

Software Engineering Manager

Full-stack Engineer

• Develop and test firmware and software for high-speed arbitrary waveform generation, image processing, scientific instrument control, and digital feedback loops.
• Implement embedded device driver APIs, Linux kernel modules, and orchestration functions in Rust, Python, and C/C++.
• Integrate and test control system hardware and software. Write test procedures, unit tests and assist with system level testing and debug.

Software Engineer – Control Systems

• Research related to quantum error correcting codes and fault-tolerance
• Designing and implementing demonstrations of fault-tolerant quantum computation
• Real-time decoding and classical feedforward during fault-tolerant quantum computation
• Setup and maintenance of databases
• Compilation of quantum circuits
• Analyzing data generated from quantum hardware performing error corrected computation
• Simulation of fault-tolerant quantum computation
• Resource estimation for fault-tolerant quantum applications

Quantum Error Correction Software Engineer

Operations

• Developing and maintaining software tools to solve classical optimization problems.
• Working with physicists to develop exact and heuristic cost functions.
• Evaluating the performance of optimization routines in terms of time, compute resources, and accuracy.

Senior Optimization Engineer – Operations Research

• Build, commission, troubleshoot and improve the scientific hardware and control interfaces (both hardware and software)
• Requires extensive knowledge of the state-of-the-art techniques used in atomic physics and quantum computing research
• Participate in an on-call schedule for emergences or unexpected maintenance
• Involves extended travel to Boulder Colorado to participate in commissioning of quantum computers
• Capable of lifting and moving objects that weigh up to 25 pounds.
