About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operational leadership
- Coordinate all functions and make rapid trade-offs when commercial, operational and product priorities conflict.
- Ensure smooth execution across the delivery chain, from signature through adoption.
- Ensure alignment between the commercial promise, delivery capacity and the product roadmap.
- Business development and client relations
- Oversee the entire revenue chain: sales, services and customer success.
- Be directly involved in strategic accounts.
- Drive customer satisfaction and retention.
- Be accountable for meeting contractual commitments.
- Product vision and technology strategy
- Work in close partnership with product and R&D teams to prioritize the roadmap according to business needs.
- Support the integration of advanced features, including AI agents and automation.
- Make trade-offs between standardization, customization, scalability and technical debt.
- Leadership and organizational structuring
- Continue structuring the company while maintaining a lean organization.
- Identify and secure key roles.
- Establish a culture of ownership and clarity.
- Ensure sustainable team engagement.
- Financial management
- Manage operational performance: ARR, margins and cash.
- Allocate resources based on priorities.
- Provide reliable reporting to governance bodies.
- Company representation
- Represent the company to clients, partners, investors and, where applicable, potential acquirers or partners.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Executive leadership experience within a B2B software vendor (VP Sales, COO, Head of Operations or Head of Sales).
- Experience in a mid-sized company (20–150 people, a few million ARR).
- Proven experience with complex, long sales cycles involving procurement, legal and IT on the client side.
- Ability to oversee all company functions and make structural decisions with a strong understanding of product and technology issues.
- Strong command of financial and operational management.
- Execution-oriented leadership, with the ability to structure, engage and unite a growing team.
