Installation/maintenance of IBM DB2 z/OS software
Configuration of DB2 groups and subsystems
Performance and capacity tuning of system parameters
Problem analysis and resolution for technical and application related issues
Responsible for DB2 availability and recovery strategies
Documentation of policies and procedures in compliance with standards
Provide mentoring and support for DBA staff
Collaboration with cross-functional teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years IBM System Z experience and concepts
7+ years IBM DB2 experience
Advanced knowledge in SMP/E, IBM DB2 utilities, BMC Mainview for DB2, and other tools
Experience with problem determination and analysis in high-pressure situations
Analytical / critical / 'outside-the-box' thinking in problem solving
Experience with DB2 internal structures, backup/recovery/logging,
Familiarity with networking concepts, RACF security management, and WLM concepts
REXX application programming
Knowledge in DB2 architectural concepts for high-performance and availability in financial trading
