About the role
- Advise businesses on legal matters, including GDPR and CCPA compliance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements (licensing, services, marketing).
- Ensure adherence to laws and develop compliance programs.
- Advise on board matters, policies, and ethical conduct.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks across the organization.
- Manage disputes, overseeing external counsel as needed.
- Assist with M&A, due diligence, and other corporate transactions.
- Handle IP matters such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Provide legal guidance to senior management and other departments.
Requirements
- Law degree (J.D.) and bar admission.
- Background in business law, transactions, or specific industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication (written/verbal).
- High ethical standards, good judgment, ability to handle ambiguity, proactive, business-minded.
