About the role
- Responsible for developing software solutions by writing, maintaining and enhancing critical healthcare systems that are required for everyday functioning of our hospitals and clinics.
- Plays a critical part in the execution of CHOC’s cloud strategy.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications and integrations (APIs, data integration).
- Lead and deliver complex automation projects and RPA solutions from end to end (where applicable).
- Design applications at scale and follow professional software engineering best practices across the SDLC, including code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Automate repetitive tasks using programming and scripting (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript).
- Work that supports hospital and clinic operations and clinical systems availability.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience developing software applications.
- Experience implementing data integration and API services
- Demonstrated understanding of software design principles, coding and algorithms.
- Ability to design applications at scale.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or additional equivalent work experience in a healthcare environment may be accepted in lieu of education.
- Strong programming skills with any programming language (Python,Java,.NET, Scripting, Javascript).
- Understanding of SDLC, databases and their usage.
- Understanding of CI/CD,DevOps and Cloud services
- Expertise in one or more RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism). (highly desirable)
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex automation projects from end to end. (highly desirable)
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and design solutions to streamline workflows (problem-solving). (highly desirable)
- Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP) and working with various enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management within a healthcare organization. (preferred)
- Developing Low-No Code Solutions on the Power Platform (PowerApps, PowerAutomate, SharePoint). (preferred)
- Any Associate level AWS Certification. (preferred)
