About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for overseeing key accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across the organization.
Perform month-end close activities, payroll accounting, lease accounting, inventory accounting, and various financial compliance requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, clinical, payroll, and leadership teams.
Oversee payroll accounting activities for AVP and SEES entities.
Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions, benefits, taxes, and accruals.
Maintain accounting records and controls related to medical and optical inventory.
Ensure compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
Assist with business license registrations, renewals, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience managing month-end close processes.
Experience with payroll accounting and account reconciliations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
Experience in healthcare, medical practice management, or optical eye care organizations.
Experience accounting for medical or healthcare-related inventory.
Knowledge and practical application of ASC 842 lease accounting.
Experience with business licenses and property tax compliance.
Sage Intacct experience strongly preferred.
