About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the completion of analytical tasks associated with underwriting and monitoring of the Wholesale and Business Banking Loan Portfolio.
  • Preparation of corporate and personal financial statement spreads, global cash flow analyses, monthly borrowing base testing, and tracking of the Commercial Loan Portfolio.
  • Monitor credit policy exceptions and covenant compliance.
  • Review loan submissions to Centralized Credit and Monitoring for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with employees within both Credit Administration and the Lines of Business.
  • Conduct initial underwriting assessment for probable decline based on credit reports, collateral LTV, and other credit characteristics.
  • Perform stress testing on the Commercial Real Estate Portfolio.
  • Complete industry research and market data as requested by Relationship Managers and Credit Officers.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and/or equivalent experience desired
  • Three or more years banking experience with emphasis on commercial documentation, policy, and financial analyses
  • Advanced written and analytical skills to assess trends and document conclusions
  • Knowledge of commercial lending, including legal documentation
  • Familiarity with general commercial lending policies, including FIRREA and FDICIA
  • PC proficiency and experience with word processing and spreading software including the use of system and user generated formulas, macros, charts, and tables
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to research industry sources needed for credit evaluations.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to self-manage time and work flow to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
