About the role

  • Lead, manage and develop teammates to ensure professional growth and meet team expectations
  • Own a particular Center of Excellence within the team – set best practices, training and templates
  • Lead key procurement initiatives, leveraging processes to drive value for the business unit
  • Manage a portfolio of business partners – ensure strategic objectives of business units are met
  • Collaborate with internal customers to ensure strategic working relationships
  • Lead and manage category/procurement strategies and improvement initiatives
  • Perform spend, contract, and market analysis to drive the work program for the team
  • Negotiate complex agreements; review and approve deals for best value
  • Develop sourcing strategies and supplier communication strategies on key deals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain or equivalent military experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ equivalent job-related experience with emphasis on supply chain management
  • 3 years’ experience working in the financial services sector
  • Preferred: MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain or Finance or related
  • Preferred: Certified Purchasing Manager
  • Preferred: Six Sigma and/or Lean experience
  • Expert level knowledge of general procurement practices, with a preference for Banking practices
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and windows-based office software
