About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform data entry and maintain accurate employee records in HRIS platforms
- Maintain and organize digital personnel files in compliance with internal standards and applicable regulations
- Support benefits enrollment processes and respond to basic employee inquiries, escalating as needed
- Assist in preparing and tracking HR documentation, including offer letters, employment verifications, and policy acknowledgments
- Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires across multiple client organizations
- Follow up with hiring managers to ensure onboarding tasks are completed on time
- Support I-9 and E-Verify completion in accordance with federal requirements
- Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Assist with recruitment coordination, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates
- Conduct pre-screen interviews and document candidate feedback in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Help prepare job postings and maintain candidate pipelines across active requisitions
- Assist the HR team with audits, tracker maintenance, and ad hoc reporting
- Pitch in on special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Help ensure HR workflows stay organized
- Track and update project status using ZohoProjects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred (HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field)
- 1 or more years of experience in an HR, administrative, or recruiting support role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace
- Preferred: Experience with HRIS platforms such as Rippling, Gusto, BambooHR, or OnPay
- Preferred: Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Zoho Recruit or similar)
- Preferred: Knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, and multi-state HR compliance requirements
- Preferred: Experience supporting onboarding workflows across multiple locations or organizations
- Preferred: Prior exposure to behavioral health, healthcare, or other regulated industries
