About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support clients on complex and high-value programmes, initially with an emphasis on the Water sector
  • Advise public- and private-sector clients across commercial, procurement and supply-chain requirements
  • Develop and deliver solutions to complex and dynamic problems with clients and supply-chain partners
  • Build relationships with national infrastructure clients
  • Ensure maximum value within clients’ supply-chain ecosystems
  • Share quantity surveying, commercial and procurement knowledge and expertise
  • Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Manage performance and support individual development
  • Engage stakeholders using informative communication tools to build organisational buy-in
  • Contribute to business development and win-work activities, including bid writing, pre-contract engagement and client relationship management
  • Produce and advise clients on the application of construction contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major programmes and complex infrastructure
  • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, oil and gas, or a UK Public Sector organisation
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial/construction discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience gained through practice
  • Membership of, or progress toward membership of, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent recognised body
  • Experience with NEC, JCT and FIDIC construction contracts
  • Ability to produce and advise clients on construction contract application
  • Experience in line management or team leadership
  • Ability to provide clear direction, manage performance and support individual development
  • Ability to work in a client-facing environment with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to engage across complex stakeholder environments using varied communication tools
  • Ability and willingness to develop technical and consulting skills
  • Business development and win-work experience, including bid writing, pre-contract engagement and client relationship management
  • May require security clearance; relevant offers depend on obtaining clearance
  • May require proof of UK residency for five years or longer as part of UKSV vetting
