About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deliver project management and contract administration through the project life cycle
  • Establish common understanding of requirements, scope, programme, costs, constraints, risks and interfaces
  • Lead, build, motivate, coach, guide and develop project teams
  • Communicate, liaise and engage with clients
  • Deliver project governance in line with corporate and business policies, directives, guidance and procedures
  • Prioritize safety throughout project delivery
  • Manage projects within agreed client and AtkinsRéalis budgets
  • Manage project risks and opportunities from inception through completion
  • Administer and negotiate change control
  • Manage approved subcontractor procurement processes
  • Monitor and report project performance against programme, technical quality, financial and KPI targets
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and other team members
  • Deliver projects in accordance with AtkinsRéalis values, safety, integrity, collaboration and innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of multi-disciplinary infrastructure project delivery experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Project Management, Engineering, Building Surveying or Architectural background
  • Experience in design management, project management and contract administration
  • PMQ or equivalent recognized competence in Project Management is desirable
  • Understanding and experience deploying construction contracts, particularly NEC3 or NEC4 and/or bespoke contracts
  • Experience managing or assisting with projects from inception to completion, covering RIBA Stages 0–7 or equivalent
  • Experience working closely with multi-disciplinary design teams
  • Strong client-facing and customer service skills
  • Ability to lead delivery teams positively and confidently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound business acumen and strong risk/commercial awareness
  • Aptitude for work winning, bid processes and different pricing models
  • Understanding of BIM
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable working attitude
  • Current driving licence
  • Ability to obtain the relevant security clearance if required; vetting may require proof of at least 5 years' UK residency
