About the role
- Develop and implement national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects
- Direct the planning, budgeting, design, permitting, and construction phases of airport infrastructure projects
- Ensure projects meet FAA, ICAO, TSA, and other regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary liaison with airport operators, federal agencies, and contractors
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff
- Provide technical guidance and approvals on complex design elements
- Identify and mitigate risks in project planning and execution
- Develop and manage multi-million-dollar project and program budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience with at least 8 years in aviation infrastructure
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of FAA design standards, pavement design, airfield safety, environmental assessments, and CAD/BIM technologies
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
