About the role

  • Develop and implement national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects
  • Direct the planning, budgeting, design, permitting, and construction phases of airport infrastructure projects
  • Ensure projects meet FAA, ICAO, TSA, and other regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary liaison with airport operators, federal agencies, and contractors
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and technical staff
  • Provide technical guidance and approvals on complex design elements
  • Identify and mitigate risks in project planning and execution
  • Develop and manage multi-million-dollar project and program budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum 15 years of civil engineering experience with at least 8 years in aviation infrastructure
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of FAA design standards, pavement design, airfield safety, environmental assessments, and CAD/BIM technologies
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
