Collaborate with the Project Engineering Manager to define project objectives, schedules and deliverables
Assist the manager in supervising all project coordinators (packages, BIM, change management, permits, environmental, etc.)
Support the project lifecycle by tracking design progress, identifying risks and facilitating technical issue resolution
Help develop and monitor the project design execution plan, ensuring effective interdisciplinary coordination
Identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues that could impact project schedules or quality
Promote and reinforce safety considerations throughout technical delivery and design coordination
Contribute to the preparation of monthly project reports for the Director of Engineering Management and relevant market or portfolio leads
Support the engineering team by facilitating the adoption of industry best practices, standards and continuous improvement initiatives
Communicate effectively, provide regular engineering updates, address concerns and manage expectations to foster strong client relationships
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline
5 to 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years supporting multidisciplinary teams during planning, design and delivery phases
Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Canada, eligible for registration in multiple jurisdictions
Strong coordination and organizational skills
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources and support on-budget, on-time delivery
Proficiency with relevant engineering software and tools for transportation infrastructure design
Experience with rail and transit projects, particularly LRT, with knowledge of transportation standards and urban integration (an asset)
Familiarity with regulatory environments and stakeholder coordination at municipal, provincial and federal levels
Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
