About the role
- Lead the technical delivery of façade engineering services on single- and multidisciplinary projects, working within budget and to programme.
- Participate in internal technical networks and promote façade engineering issues to the wider AtkinsRéalis Building Design community.
- Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities (both internal and external).
- Contribute to bid-writing and winning work.
- Assist in developing the processes, tools and ethos of a growing façades team.
Requirements
- Be a chartered engineer or qualified architect.
- Possess minimum 3 years’ experience in façade design or delivery on major projects.
- Demonstrate proven ability to work alone and mentor others in at least two of the following areas: Structural analysis, Thermal analysis, Embodied carbon assessment, Specification authoring, Concept design, Glazing and curtain walling design, Production of detail drawings, Review of contractors’ designs, Site inspection and supervision, Forensic analysis of existing façade defects.
- Possess good organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Be an inquisitive individual who enjoys collaboration and the stimulation of exchanging ideas with others.
