About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading the development of active network designs
- Designing enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and network security solutions
- Developing secure, resilient and scalable network infrastructures aligned to client requirements
- Leading technical work packages and supporting project delivery activities
- Producing and reviewing technical documentation, reports, strategies and specifications
- Supporting implementation planning, migration activities, testing and commissioning
- Providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to engineers and technicians
- Supporting business development activities including proposals, PQQs and ITTs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading technical work packages and design activities
- Experience of ICT network design and delivery
- Knowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies
- Knowledge of routing, switching and network security principles
- Understanding of network monitoring and management systems
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, reports and presentations
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Cisco, Juniper, Aruba or equivalent certifications (desirable)
- Defence, Government or Nuclear sector experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of MoD ICT standards and guidance (desirable)
- Experience of RIBA stages of design (desirable)
- Prince2, APM or equivalent qualification (desirable)
