About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Developing active network designs, schematics, technical documentation and specifications
- Supporting the design and delivery of enterprise LAN, WAN and WLAN solutions
- Assisting with implementation, migration, testing and commissioning activities
- Producing technical reports, design documentation and installation specifications
- Liaising with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering disciplines
- Supporting project delivery activities across all stages of the project lifecycle
- Assisting with business development activities including PQQ and ITT responses
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of ICT network design and delivery
- Knowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN and WLAN technologies
- Knowledge of routing, switching and network security principles
- Understanding of network monitoring and management systems
- Ability to prepare technical documentation, reports and presentations
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Cisco, Juniper, Aruba or equivalent certifications (desirable)
- Defence, Government or Nuclear sector experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of MoD ICT standards and guidance (desirable)
- Experience of RIBA stages of design (desirable)
- Prince2, APM or equivalent qualification (desirable)
