About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work on a variety of challenging design and research projects
  • Lead projects in technical delivery of pavement engineering design
  • Prepare and review technical reports and project design packages
  • Ensure project deliverables are prepared on time and within budget

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar disciplines
  • Certified Pavement Engineer (preferable)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid and Composite Pavements)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of earthworks and pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt and Hydraulically Bound Materials)
  • Experience in the use of UK and/or international standards for the design of pavements
  • Knowledge of construction techniques for new construction and maintenance works, including recycling
  • Experience in specification, execution, analysis, and interpretation of geotechnical and pavement investigation techniques
  • Experience in managing and delivering projects and meeting client expectations
  • Good communication skills in a client-facing environment
  • Ability to work within a team
