About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on a variety of challenging design and research projects
- Lead projects in technical delivery of pavement engineering design
- Prepare and review technical reports and project design packages
- Ensure project deliverables are prepared on time and within budget
- Enhance client and industry relationships with various stakeholders
- Promote pavement and asset management
- Develop talent within the team through coaching and mentoring
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar disciplines
- Certified Pavement Engineer (preferable)
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of pavement design principles (Flexible, Rigid and Composite Pavements)
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of earthworks and pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt and Hydraulically Bound Materials)
- Experience in the use of UK and/or international standards for the design of pavements
- Knowledge of construction techniques for new construction and maintenance works, including recycling
- Experience in specification, execution, analysis, and interpretation of geotechnical and pavement investigation techniques
- Experience in managing and delivering projects and meeting client expectations
- Good communication skills in a client-facing environment
- Ability to work within a team
