About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and develop complex engineering schedules using Primavera (P6) and/or MS Visio.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding project scheduling activities.
  • Work with Engineering Leads on scheduling activities and assist them in determining schedule priorities.
  • Provide support to other planners.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, and resource plans utilizing project management techniques and software.
  • Interface with engineering personnel, project management and other performing organizations to assess and report project progress, as required.
  • Facilitate the development of remedial action plans.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering student preferred, minimum 2nd year or higher.
  • Prior construction or engineering experience would be an asset.
  • Familiar with MS Office suite, and in particular expertise with MS Visio is required.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 would be beneficial, but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Power plant technology and CANDU nuclear generating stations will be beneficial to the position.
  • Flexible, ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and time-pressured environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
