About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead drawing and modelling production as a BIM coordinator for Electrical/Civil systems
Prepare SLDs, control schemes, layouts, 3D models, and hazardous area classifications
Develop substation layouts and infrastructure drawings including power, earthing, lighting, and protection systems
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with CAD/BIM standards
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team motivation
Engage in BIM and Scan-to-BIM workflows
Support project setup, customization, and delivery tracking

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 to 15 years of Substation experience with Revit
Multidisciplinary exposure across Electrical, Civil, Structural, and Mechanical domains
Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor junior staff
Strong grasp of drawing standards, CAD/BIM protocols, and project workflows
Hands-on experience in Substation projects (Green field and Brown field)
Familiarity with National Grid standards is a significant advantage
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, Dynamo, and other BIM-related tools
Exposure to international standards (UK, India, Middle East, APAC)
Ability to prepare and check complex drawings, ensuring quality and compliance with CAD/BIM standards
