About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Acts as owner’s representative for construction projects
- Provides technical review of material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documents
- Manage day-to-day field coordination for site-wide services, including contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and support crews
- Coordinate and monitor safety, quality, productivity, and performance
- Oversee contractor deployment and subcontractor use for waste disposal, water delivery, cleaning, fueling, fencing, sanitation, temporary power, and other site support activities
- Ensure service activities comply with applicable environmental requirements, MSHA requirements, project procedures, and approved work methodologies
- Track service needs, usage frequency, delivery methods, and field constraints
- Support package development, procurement planning, contractor readiness, scope clarification, and field assessments
- Work with the Contracts Administrator to identify, document, quantify, and support approval of changes related to assigned services packages
- Proactively coordinate with various teams to resolve interface issues
- Monitor contractor health and safety performance and escalate non-compliant conditions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- seven years’ experience (including personnel supervision)
- fifteen years of experience with Associate degree
- seventeen years related experience without a degree
- Experience in Construction Management of mining projects is required
- MSHA certification required, or ability to obtain within three months of hire
- Ability to supervise internal staff, contractors, external field representatives, and field office personnel
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Very strong communication skills and computer software skills
- Field problem-solving and practical judgment
