About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

perform geometric design for a variety of road and highway infrastructure projects
prepare preliminary and detailed design packages for multidisciplinary projects
prepare 3D digital models of the proposed design
develop cost estimates based on quantity take-offs and unit prices
review work and complete quality control procedures
lead/support proposals and fee estimates
provide mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians
contribute to or prepare project documentation including design briefs, engineering reports, drawings and specifications

Requirements

What you’ll need

bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng) with EGBC
7+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in road and highway design
experience with CAD/Civil 3D
experience with the preparation of design reports and technical notes
working knowledge and application of TAC Geometric Design Guidelines, BC MoTT Supplement to TAC and AASHTO design standards
willingness and ability to travel on short-term assignments within Canada
