About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a senior technical specialist/subject matter expert in hydrogeology, groundwater and related disciplines
Lead and critique hydrogeological conceptual models, investigation programs, dewatering, and numerical modelling approaches
Provide senior technical review and quality assurance of hydrogeology deliverables, methodologies, and interpretations
Act as a trusted technical advisor to project managers, clients, and regulators
Provide senior technical input for civil and geotechnical design, permitting, environmental assessments, remediation strategies, and water resource decision making
Contribute to proposal development, project scoping, coordinating and planning, risk identification, and client inquiries from a technical perspective
Support technical innovation, service development, and strategic initiatives within the national hydrogeology and geothermal practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related earth-science discipline
Licensed professional (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body in Canada
20+ years of progressively responsible hydrogeology consulting experience
Experience with numerical groundwater modelling and/or geothermal systems is a strong asset
Proven ability to author, review, and defend high-quality technical deliverables
Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal groundwater, water-resources, and environmental regulations
Work experience on Metrolinx projects is considered an asset
