About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a senior technical specialist/subject matter expert in hydrogeology, groundwater and related disciplines
- Lead and critique hydrogeological conceptual models, investigation programs, dewatering, and numerical modelling approaches
- Provide senior technical review and quality assurance of hydrogeology deliverables, methodologies, and interpretations
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to project managers, clients, and regulators
- Provide senior technical input for civil and geotechnical design, permitting, environmental assessments, remediation strategies, and water resource decision making
- Contribute to proposal development, project scoping, coordinating and planning, risk identification, and client inquiries from a technical perspective
- Support technical innovation, service development, and strategic initiatives within the national hydrogeology and geothermal practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, or related earth-science discipline
- Licensed professional (P.Geo. or P.Eng.) in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory body in Canada
- 20+ years of progressively responsible hydrogeology consulting experience
- Experience with numerical groundwater modelling and/or geothermal systems is a strong asset
- Proven ability to author, review, and defend high-quality technical deliverables
- Strong working knowledge of provincial and federal groundwater, water-resources, and environmental regulations
- Work experience on Metrolinx projects is considered an asset
