About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership and management of a team of Electrical Engineers and Designers
Provide technical leadership and supervision on electrical substation design and engineering
Plan, organize, schedule and direct engineering activities for substation projects
Develop and maintain strong client relationships and lead technical coordination
Work closely with other multi-disciplinary teams for High Voltage (HV) substation projects
Monitor project progress to ensure engineering deliverables are prepared,
Understand market trends and clients' needs, identify new business opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need

A four-year undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University is required
Graduate (Masters) degree in Electrical Engineering is an asset
Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia or Alberta is required
Minimum 12 years of North American experience in Medium and High Voltage Substation design and engineering for greenfield and brownfield projects
Excellent working knowledge of substation design and engineering standards (including CSA, IEEE, IEC, and standards from major North American utilities)
Engineering processes for project execution, Project Management principles, tendering and contract management
