Senior Power Systems Engineer
AtkinsRéalisEngineer or Senior Engineer in Electrical Systems Practice delivering distribution designs in rail and other sectors. Collaborating on international projects with a focus on safety, quality, and design standards.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake distribution design work within a Rail environment and in other sectors
- Preparation of designs to company, Network Rail, LU, DLR & other applicable standards
- Prepare design deliverable packages for submission including drawings, equipment specifications and design reports, feasibility studies, option selection, outline and detailed design, and construction support
- Maintain a good understanding of AtkinsRéalis Rail business standards of safety, quality and design
Requirements
What you’ll need- Further education qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in technical design of power and distribution systems in Rail/Energy or another regulated environment
- Appropriate experience working within design teams in a project-driven organisation
- Experience working with detailed electrical engineering design drawings for distribution substation, switchgear, transformers and associated ancillary equipment
- Knowledge of systems integration in the substation environment
- Able to obtain security clearance to SC level
