About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plans, organizes and directs the administration and coordination of construction observation and reporting activities.
- Provides financial management of construction office operations, monitoring costs and expenses, approving and dispersing funds, and coordinating accounting and cost allocation.
- Leads subordinate internal staff involved in the observation, testing and sampling of construction materials, observation of construction work, and documentation of plan revisions and work progress.
- Is responsible for reporting cost and quality control activities.
- Meets and coordinates ongoing construction monitoring with client program manager.
- Prepares and coordinates contract changes and supplemental agreements with client.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Ten years of experience with Bachelor's degree combining engineering design and construction observation administration, including management and supervision of field and office personnel
- Twenty five years experience without degree
- PE certification is required
- Must have experience working on FDOT projects.
