About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in planning, organizing, and overseeing design projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
Undertaking lighting designs using Lighting Reality design or similar software
Undertaking Electrical Designs using associated software
Prepare and maintain design documentation, including project briefs, timelines, and works information
Ensure all files are organized and accessible
Management of external consultants undertaking designs
Review design outputs for accuracy and consistency, ensuring they align with project goals, the DMRB and relevant standards liaising with internal and external engineers
Resolving engineering issues both on site and with design teams
Creating and managing of trackers/ registers for engineering/ design deliverables
Production /collation of O&M manuals and H&S Files
Collect and organize feedback from the supply chain, client, and internal teams, ensuring it is communicated effectively
Stay updated on the DMRB and Change in Standards and best practices, sharing insights with the team to achieve solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related field preferred
ILP Exterior Lighting Diploma preferred
Proven experience in a Highway Lighting project
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A keen eye for detail
Familiarity with the DMRB, MCHW and British and European regulations and standards
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
Passion for design and a desire to contribute to a creative team
Be a member of a professional body
Be professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification
