Assistant Project Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the delivery of projects across the full lifecycle (RIBA 0–7).
- Assist in managing programme, cost, risk and reporting activities.
- Contribute to project controls, governance reporting and progress updates.
- Attend client and design team meetings, taking ownership of actions and coordination tasks.
- Help build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Support procurement activities and tender processes.
- Assist in the administration of contracts (JCT / NEC) under supervision.
- Learn and apply AtkinsRéalis tools, systems and PM methodologies.
- Contribute to business development research and bid preparation where appropriate.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualified (or working towards) in a construction-related discipline.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Positive, collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and confidence working in teams.
- Interest in developing a career across both public and private sector projects.
- Working towards professional accreditation (APM, RICS or CIOB).
