About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all project team members ensuring work progresses with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements
  • Assemble a project team through recruiting, interviewing and/or selecting staff
  • Responsible for all contract management including scope & change control, requirements management, subcontractor and supplier management
  • Develop project scope and deliverable definition in compliance with the governing contract documents
  • Accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety
  • Apply appropriate key performance indicators to monitor project health and establish reporting protocols
  • Responsible for rigorous risk analysis and project controls methodology
  • Form and maintain relationships with clients and project stakeholders
  • Prepare and manage budgets and provide regular formal reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BSc in Engineering or equivalent is an asset
  • 10+ years’ experience leading various types of projects including construction, manufacturing or engineering services projects
  • Experience working in a Nuclear environment is an asset
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints and specifications
  • Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles
  • Understanding of project delivery methodology including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology, and inspection and test plans
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills
