About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work
- Manage time and budgets of Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones
- Direct and review technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams and Load Schedules
- Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables
- Collaborate with client and project management team
- Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team
- Work independently with minimal technical guidance
- Provide technical support for bid proposals
- Set quality assurance standards in design
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer
- Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team
- Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems
- Requires comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in ICA designs
- Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards as well as industry best practices
- Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
- Experience in water market is preferred but not required
- Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
