About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants and related structures (concrete and steel)
  • Rehabilitation of hydraulic works, hydroelectric power plants and related structures
  • Multidisciplinary coordination, attending and leading design meetings (internally and with the client)
  • Production of preliminary and detailed engineering, preparation and/or verification of design calculations and associated calculation notes
  • Participation and supervision of the production of design reports, structural drawings and technical specifications for calls for tenders
  • Follow-up the works during construction.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural profile
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design and rehabilitation of water retaining structures, bridges and civil engineering structures
  • Being a member of the PEO or being eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Canada
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of Ontario Power Generation standards is an asset.
