About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Structural design of hydraulic structures, hydroelectric power plants and related structures (concrete and steel)
Rehabilitation of hydraulic works, hydroelectric power plants and related structures
Multidisciplinary coordination, attending and leading design meetings (internally and with the client)
Production of preliminary and detailed engineering, preparation and/or verification of design calculations and associated calculation notes
Participation and supervision of the production of design reports, structural drawings and technical specifications for calls for tenders
Follow-up the works during construction.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural profile
Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design and rehabilitation of water retaining structures, bridges and civil engineering structures
Being a member of the PEO or being eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Canada
Fluency in English (spoken and written)
Knowledge of Ontario Power Generation standards is an asset.
