About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support or lead a small team in the delivery of technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Collaborate with immediate Civil Engineering team, multi-disciplinary project teams and other related AtkinsRéalis teams on delivery of various size engineering design deliverables and projects
  • Work independently with moderate technical guidance
  • Use technical experience and judgement to solve design problems
  • Provide informal guidance to junior team members
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design
  • Responsible for inputting and/or preparing technical deliverables such as design reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and scopes of work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer
  • Proven experience in delivering technical design work as part of a Civil engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy
  • Requires broad knowledge and practical experience in external works such as drainage, utilities, pavements, and earthworks
  • Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards as well as industry best practices, including CDM Regulations
  • Proficiency in applicable analytical software and related tools such as Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage and Civil3D
  • Experience in the Energy or Defence markets is beneficial but not required
