About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work on complex multi-disciplinary projects
- Manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team to key project milestones
- Direct and review technical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Load Schedules, MCC specifications
- Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables for Electrical aspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects
- Collaborate with client and operational activities within your immediate team and other related teams
- Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team and wider technical network
- Support leadership and management of the D&AT team within the Manchester office
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer
- Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team for a design consultancy within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Electrical designs
- Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards such as WIMES
- Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
- Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
