About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work
Successfully manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team
Responsible for directing and reviewing technical deliverables
Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables for ICA aspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects
Collaborate with client, operational, project, or service activities within your immediate team
Provide direction and guidance to Senior and Principal colleagues
Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team
Work independently with minimal technical guidance
Provide technical support and direction for bid proposals
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Chartered Engineer
Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team
Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems
Requires comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in ICA designs
Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards as well as industry best practices
Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
Experience in water market is preferred but not required
Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
Demonstrates strong communication skills
