Associate Director – ICA Engineering

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and direct a team of Electrical & ICA engineers for delivery of technical design work
- Successfully manage time and budgets of the Electrical & ICA team
- Responsible for directing and reviewing technical deliverables
- Provide technical leadership into project design deliverables for ICA aspects of complex multi-disciplinary projects
- Collaborate with client, operational, project, or service activities within your immediate team
- Provide direction and guidance to Senior and Principal colleagues
- Lead the growth of local Electrical & ICA team
- Work independently with minimal technical guidance
- Provide technical support and direction for bid proposals
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK and overseas
Requirements
What you’ll need- A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer
- Proven experience in leading or directing an Electrical & ICA engineering design delivery team
- Takes broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to design problems
- Requires comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in ICA designs
- Extensive knowledge of water company design codes and standards as well as industry best practices
- Strong awareness of HAZOP assessments, lightning strike risk assessments, earthing and bonding, lighting designs, DSEAR and ATEX installation practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance
- Experience in water market is preferred but not required
- Experience in industrial and process environment is essential
- Demonstrates strong communication skills
