Senior Resident Engineer – Civil

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee all aspects of construction delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Ensure works are carried out in line with contract documents and specifications, including rigorous testing and quality assurance
- Implement and monitor Uisce Éireann safety policies, review HSQE documentation (RAMS, TMP), and conduct weekly site safety reviews
- Act as the main point of contact for Uisce Éireann, project managers, and contractors, providing clear updates and resolving issues promptly
- Report and manage incidents, assist in investigations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Monitor workmanship and materials to meet required standards, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with experience in civil engineering
- Proven experience administering Public Works and FIDIC contracts
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices
- Ability to review technical documentation, monitor quality standards, and oversee compliance
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Enthusiasm, resilience, and commitment to delivering projects that make a real impact.
