M&E Engineer
AtkinsRéalisM&E Engineer providing technical assurance and leadership on design projects for M25 DBFO project at Connect Plus. Managing timelines and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical assurance and reviews of design proposals ensuring they align with project goals, the DMRB and relevant standards.
- Lead engineering reviews to drive innovative solutions that can be safely installed and are best for the asset need.
- Provide challenge to design and contractors proposals.
- Support the CPS business by advising on overall renewal strategies.
- Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with CPS Quality Management Processes, internal standards and CDM Regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and consultancy to the Design and Engineering Team.
- Coordinate the design and sequencing of multi-disciplinary schemes within the tunnel environment to ensure integrated solutions.
- Lead innovation and continual improvement in the delivery of schemes and techniques used in design and construction.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop design solutions.
- Leading the engineering of work packages.
- Support and challenge scheme direction and design options via Gateway review process.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related field preferred
- Proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical projects
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with the DMRB, MCHW and British and European regulations and standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines
- Passion for design and a desire to contribute to a creative team
- Be a member of a professional body
- Be professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification.
