Environmental Consultant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparation and delivery of a wide variety of reports including material management plans (MMPs), verification reports, environmental waste permit applications
- Undertake waste classification using HazWaste online
- Design, organise and undertake ground investigations to obtain information for materials and waste assessments
- Managing the implementation and verification of a MMPs/environmental waste permits
- Auditing of contractors to assess compliance
- Liaison with clients, stakeholders, regulators, contractors, and other internal disciplines
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide a consistent and integrated service
- Compliance with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Developing own competence and maintain CPD
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or science subject
- Working towards Chartered Membership of relevant professional body
- Relevant post-graduate experience
- Demonstratable understanding of material management, earthworks and/or waste aspects on a development site
- Experience in relevant site-based ground investigation and sampling work
- Good organisational skills and appetite for undertaking outdoor work
- Full UK driving licence and ability and willingness to travel throughout the UK
- Trained in how to use HazWasteOnline
- Attended the CL:AIRE ‘Definition of Waste: Code of Practice’ Training or has experience of writing MMPs
