About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide regular, in-depth vehicle electrical system expertise
Participate in specification reviews, design reviews, first article inspections, and tests of the rail vehicle components or systems
Provide quality feedback and reports to the client, AtkinsRéalis project team, and the vehicle builders
Manage all aspects of assignments that are undertaken for a client
Ensure all work is completed within deadlines, to budget, and to the client's satisfaction
Maintain professional expertise by participating in an approved Continuing Professional Development program
Assist the Department Manager and Director in realizing Group and Regional objectives
Support the development of strategies to grow AtkinsRéalis Rail & Transit's rolling stock electrical services product line

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years of experience in the rail industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Professional Engineering licensure is desirable
A generalist background and/or experience with multiple vehicle types are a plus
English written and verbal language skills required
Ability to read, write and communicate in a language additional to English is advantageous
