About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Project Manager and technical leader responsible for delivering ports, marine and waterfront design projects of various sizes and complexities
  • Supervise and perform engineering analysis and design
  • Lead development of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Act as a responsible charge and engineer of record for contract deliverables
  • Perform inspection and condition assessment of ports and waterfront infrastructure
  • Conduct data acquisition and analysis, researching alternative design approaches
  • Interact with contractors, perform construction administration functions including shop drawing reviews and site visits
  • Prepare material for reports and permit applications
  • Ensure that all project deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards
  • Participate in team growth and development by providing mentorship and technical guidance to technical staff
  • Serves as the primary point of contact on assigned projects, interface with clients and stakeholders
  • Manage multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with design leads and subconsultants
  • Develop and manage project management plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Actively manage project risks, budget and schedule and provide routine updates to clients and leadership
  • Manage QA/QC processes on project deliverables
  • Prepare scopes of work and fee estimates for proposals
  • Assist in client relationship management and business development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (minimum required)
  • Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in deepwater marine and waterfront infrastructure design, preferably with a consulting firm
  • At least 3+ years of project management and technical leadership experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt rapidly in a fast‑paced work environment
  • Experience with waterfront design codes and standards such as UFC, PIANC and ASCE/COPRI
  • Experience in design and analysis for waterfront and marine structures, shallow and deep foundation, piles and sheet pile bulkhead
  • Experience with mooring and berthing analysis
  • P.E. License in Florida is required, or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
