Key responsibilities & impact

Project Manager and technical leader responsible for delivering ports, marine and waterfront design projects of various sizes and complexities
Supervise and perform engineering analysis and design
Lead development of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates
Act as a responsible charge and engineer of record for contract deliverables
Perform inspection and condition assessment of ports and waterfront infrastructure
Conduct data acquisition and analysis, researching alternative design approaches
Interact with contractors, perform construction administration functions including shop drawing reviews and site visits
Prepare material for reports and permit applications
Ensure that all project deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards
Participate in team growth and development by providing mentorship and technical guidance to technical staff
Serves as the primary point of contact on assigned projects, interface with clients and stakeholders
Manage multi-disciplinary projects in collaboration with design leads and subconsultants
Develop and manage project management plans, schedules, and budgets
Actively manage project risks, budget and schedule and provide routine updates to clients and leadership
Manage QA/QC processes on project deliverables
Prepare scopes of work and fee estimates for proposals
Assist in client relationship management and business development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (minimum required)
Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
10+ years of experience in deepwater marine and waterfront infrastructure design, preferably with a consulting firm
At least 3+ years of project management and technical leadership experience
Demonstrated leadership, and strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work flexibly to meet business needs, manage multiple priorities effectively, and adapt rapidly in a fast‑paced work environment
Experience with waterfront design codes and standards such as UFC, PIANC and ASCE/COPRI
Experience in design and analysis for waterfront and marine structures, shallow and deep foundation, piles and sheet pile bulkhead
Experience with mooring and berthing analysis
P.E. License in Florida is required, or the ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
