About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assume automation engineering responsibilities according to project mandates
- Actively participate in the engineering of multidisciplinary automation projects
- Assess client needs and contribute to requirements gathering
- Contribute to the design of instrumentation and control systems
- Write and maintain technical documentation
- Design control and command panels
- Participate in the preparation of tender documents
- Ensure consistency of deliverables and compliance with standards
- Collaborate with the team's technicians and engineers
- Participate in fee estimation for project opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering or equivalent
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Approximately 8 to 10 years' experience in automation, instrumentation and control
- Experience producing technical documentation (specifications, functional analyses, test procedures)
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
- Experience with HMI/SCADA interfaces
- Understanding of electrical design principles and control systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French; functional English
- Valid driver's licence
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
