About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement security solutions for cloud infrastructure, including public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify and address potential security threats.
Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure the protection of sensitive data and systems.
Work with developers and operations teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure is designed, implemented, and maintained in a secure manner.
Monitor and respond to security incidents, including investigations, remediation, and reporting.
Implement and maintain security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and data encryption solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends and recommend new security solutions as needed.
Collaborate with engineers and security teams to integrate cloud security with other security solutions and processes.
Provide security training and education to employees and stakeholders to raise awareness of security risks and best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in cloud security, including designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions for cloud infrastructure.
Expertise in security technologies and practices, including encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, and data protection.
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, OCI, IBM & GCP.
Experience with security compliance frameworks, such as SOC2, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001, NIST 800-171 and government / defence levels of security.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
