💰 $190,000 - $220,000 per year
About the role
- Provide professional and project management expertise for highly unconventional projects requiring multiple technical units and/or subcontractors
- Mentor technical professionals and assist in their training and development
- Coordinate production, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and marketing
- Coordinate and participate in contract negotiations and draft complex professional service agreements
- Conduct QCAP reviews of less complicated professional services agreements
- Develop standards and procedures for project delivery excellence
- Direct project team compliance and monitor subcontractors' progress, performance and contractual compliance
- Participate in contract dispute resolution and litigation concerning project performance and liability issues
- Review and approve subconsultant and vendor invoices and resolve payment disputes
- Develop and manage project quality assurance, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, deliverable formats and progress reporting requirements
- Monitor schedules, billings and reports; ensure appropriate charging of manhours, costs and expenses
- Assist in obtaining payment from clients; resolve client disputes and adjust billing records
- Identify new business opportunities and participate in project presentations and marketing
- Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection and preparation of firm's qualification/experience statements
- Coordinate communications with internal/external associates, clients and regulatory agencies
- Maintain frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel; serve as expert witness if necessary
- Supervise other project managers, technical professionals and design staff; manage workload and manpower forecasting
- Conduct project management training workshops and serve as mentor to associate project managers
- Monitor and report financial status of projects to technical managers
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in field(s) of practice
- Graduate degree preferred
- Management coursework and/or MBA a plus
- This level may be achieved with a minimum of 15 years of experience
- At least ten years of design build experience in a management position
- Proven interpersonal skills, public speaking and persuasive ability
- Strong project financial management and team management skills
- Knowledge of production support systems and personal computer proficiency
- Professional Registration in field(s) of practice required, if available
- Certification as a “Project Management Professional” (PMP) or “Certified Construction Manager” (CCM) required within one year of assuming this position
