About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership for the development and modernization of Retube Tooling System capabilities
- Lead the design and execution of advanced nuclear tooling solutions with a focus on performance, maintainability, and safety
- Build, mentor, and sustain a technically competent, multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and technicians
- Promote and embed a strong nuclear safety culture aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Strengthen engagement with customers, vendors, and industry stakeholders through senior‑level technical leadership
- Oversee departmental budgets, resource planning, and adherence to engineering governance and quality frameworks
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, succession planning, and knowledge transfer across the organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to provide strategic and technical leadership in complex nuclear engineering and tooling environments
- Proficiency in nuclear plant systems, regulatory frameworks, and life‑extension tooling for CANDU reactors
- Aptitude for leading and developing high‑performing, knowledge‑based engineering teams
- Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, customers, and industry partners
- Proficiency in engineering governance, quality assurance, and safe field execution practices
