About the role

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for large, complex construction projects
  • Lead negotiations with general contractors, subcontractors, engineering consultants, and suppliers
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer PCM, construction, and supplier contracts across the full contract lifecycle
  • Manage subcontract procurement activities, including prequalification, RFP/RFQ issuance, bid evaluations, award recommendations, and contract execution
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and internal project teams, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, legal, finance, and project controls
  • Administer contract changes, including entitlement assessments, change order negotiations, and commercial risk management
  • Monitor contractor performance, contract compliance, payment milestones, warranties, and deliverables
  • Support project controls through accruals, forecasting, and cash-flow coordination
  • Review and validate contractor closeout documentation to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in cost, procurement, and progress meetings with clients and contractors
  • Perform regular site visits (up to three days per week, as required)
  • Utilize e-procurement and contract management systems such as SAP and Ariba
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of contracting tools, templates, and processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Contract Administration, or a related field
  • 12–15 years of experience in construction contract and procurement management, preferably on large capital or EPC projects
  • Experience preparing and issuing RFPs/RFQs and leading commercial evaluations
  • Strong working knowledge of construction contract administration, project controls, and commercial risk management
  • Working knowledge of Primavera and/or Microsoft Project
  • Advanced negotiation, analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and standard contract management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, client-facing environments
  • Bilingual English/French language skills are an asset.
