About the role

  • Responsible for the delivery of technical consultancy and design support related to multi-disciplinary and exterior lighting projects as required
  • Liaising with customers in a responsive and client focused manner
  • Engaging with customers and other stakeholders to develop innovative low carbon solutions
  • Supporting the team with the development of technical solutions, reports and management of projects
  • Supporting the delivering projects to time and budget
  • Ensuring all work is delivered to a high level of quality and professionalism
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of more junior staff
  • Promoting the benefits of sustainable lighting solutions

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering a wide variety of exterior lighting and electrical solutions
  • Ability to apply lighting standards and experience in such a way to deliver client requirements
  • Proficient in discipline related design software particularly AutoCAD and BIM related plugin’s, Lighting Reality and electrical cable sizing software
  • Experience of National Highways (NH) and/or local authority requirements
  • Ability to support the discipline lead on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Ability to understand key client drivers and propose innovative low carbon solutions
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement with clients and contractors
  • Experience of undertaking daytime and night-time lighting surveys and assessments
