About the role

  • Support Candu Projects by ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of Oracle, MSSQL and IBM Informix databases and enterprise applications
  • Install, configure, administer, and upgrade databases supporting project systems
  • Ensure high availability and performance of databases
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
  • Monitor database health, performance, and storage growth across multi-year programs
  • Manage database security, access controls, and data segregation
  • Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and configuration optimization
  • Plan and execute patches, fixes, and upgrades
  • Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and data retention obligations
  • Administer enterprise and project-centric applications
  • Monitor application performance, batch processing, interfaces, and reporting cycles
  • Manage application access for users
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
  • Strong hands-on experience in IBM Informix
  • Expertise in database backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, and capacity planning
  • Experience administering enterprise applications in Linux/UNIX and Windows environments
  • Proficiency in scripting (shell, Python, or similar)
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers and regulatory stakeholders
