About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Candu Projects by ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of Oracle, MSSQL and IBM Informix databases and enterprise applications
Install, configure, administer, and upgrade databases supporting project systems
Ensure high availability and performance of databases
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Monitor database health, performance, and storage growth across multi-year programs
Manage database security, access controls, and data segregation
Perform SQL tuning, indexing, and configuration optimization
Plan and execute patches, fixes, and upgrades
Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and data retention obligations
Administer enterprise and project-centric applications
Monitor application performance, batch processing, interfaces, and reporting cycles
Manage application access for users
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
Strong hands-on experience in IBM Informix
Expertise in database backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, and capacity planning
Experience administering enterprise applications in Linux/UNIX and Windows environments
Proficiency in scripting (shell, Python, or similar)
Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers and regulatory stakeholders
